On a mild November Friday night the Duke of Edinburgh Students went to Wardens Camp Site for a practice camping expedition. We were kindly driven by Mr Alister and Mr Barry and then left to set up camp, cook and survive the night! The goals for the whole expedition was to let the students experience setting up their camp, cooking and going a whole night without having a shower!! The whole night was a great success with some excellent cooking, then going on a night beach walk and then having to listen to Miss Rosaleen's ghost stories (The fourth time Mr Paul had to listen to these now!). When we got back to the campsite we all lit some Chinese lanterns and watched them fly off over the North Sea, then we had a great bonfire where we cremated some marshmallows, and watched a impromptu impression show from Arian, Reza, and Shervin which was very funny! The next morning soon arrived and the students cooked their breakfast and then Mr Barry came to pick us up again! Well done for everyone who took part!
